Website Brief:  What to ask a client before building a website

 

Building a website is no easy task, but here at Turbonacho we have created a set of questions that help us have a better understanding of your thoughts and ideas so that we can stay focused and accomplish your GOALS.

 

The more you write the more we will understand your project, use your emotions, tag a video or copy as many url addresses as you can imagine and if you miss anything just do a brief update and we will adjust to it.

Describe your Business what do you want to do on the internet?

 

What other websites reflect what you do or want to do?

 

What design styles do you like? -list at least 5 websites. 

 

What are the 3 most important things your website needs to achieve?

 

How many people will be involved in this project? What are their project roles?

 

How soon do you need to start? 

 

Do you have a website currently in place? Is it working? What works and what does not with your current site? Who is visiting your site?  What do you know about them?  What do they do on the site?  Have you ever had any SEO work done on your site?

 

Do you have a defined budget to build a website?

 

Do you have a plan to maintain your website?

 

How are you going to promote your website?

 

List as many specific features that you want to include in your site?

 

Do you have a sitemap? All the sections your website must contain?

 

Who will be providing your Content writing? 

 

Do you need to buy stock photography or are you providing your own images?

 

Do you require a Content Management System?

 

If you are building and ecommerce site do you have any preference for available shopping cart software?
